Lose The Abdomen Fat
Look around you. There is probably someone with plenty of abdomen fat or beer belly or as the author William Davis MD calls it “Wheat Belly“.
I found a survey that shows that 160 million Americans are either obese or overweight. The United States has 78 million obese adults, the highest number of any country in the world. Nearly three-quarters of American men and more than 60 percent of women are obese or overweight.
I have never been officially obese but I have been in the overweight category and have not been able to reach my ideal weight. I exercise and eat what I have been told are the right foods.
Recently I was able to attend a conference about essential oils and health at the Young Living Annual Convention and had the opportunity to join a seminar with William Davis MD. I learned a lot about wheat and how wheat has become a bit mutated in the last 50 years or so and what that means to the consumers of wheat of which I have been one.
The basic information that I got from Dr. Davis is that wheat is a major contributor to the development of abdominal fat. It can also be as addictive as some opiates and, in its current form, is pretty bad for our bodies.
Wheat has become severely mutated to make it user friendly and by that I mean producer friendly. The producers need to feed the world no matter the health consequences. What good is feeding everyone if it just makes them fat and sick?
The really disturbing thing to me is that the food products made from this mutated wheat are presented to the public as “healthy whole grains” which you must eat lots of to be healthy. I understand the ignorance of the food scientists that developed this but there have been studies on these grains that have shown the health hazards from as early as the 1980s.
So wheat is just one more thing to avoid in order to be healthy. Get your organic fruits and veggies, grass fed beef and now search for the ancient wheat called Einkorn. What will we have to remove next? Thanks greedy food producers.
